Big win for India

India registered an innings and 141 runs win over the West Indies in the 1st Test of the series on Friday at Windsor Park. West Indies captain Kraigg Brathwaite won the coin toss and opted to bat first. 

After winning the toss, the West Indies bowled out for 150 runs. Alick Athanaze was the top scorer with 47 runs, and Kraigg Brathwaite scored 20 runs. For India, Ravichandran Ashwin took five wickets.

In reply, India scored 421 runs for a loss of 5 wickets and declared their innings. Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal made a 229-run partnership for the first wicket. Rohit Sharma scored 103 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal made his maiden Test hundred on his debut and scored 171 runs. Virat Kohli contributed 76 runs. 

West Indies start their second innings 280 runs behind, and they bundle out for 130 runs in their second innings. The West Indies lost six wickets for just 78 runs. Alick Athanaze was the top scorer with 28 runs, and Jason Holder scored an unbeaten 20 runs. Other than that, no one was able to cross the 20-run mark. For India, Ravichandran Ashwin claimed seven wickets.
