August 24: Kumar Sangakkara’s last Test
On This Day in 2015, Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara made his last appearance in Test matches. He made his Test debut in 2000, played 134 matches, and scored 12400 runs, including 11 double hundreds.
On This Day in 2017, Sri Lankan spinner Akila Dananjaya achieved his first five-wicket haul in ODI matches. He claimed six wickets for 54 runs against India at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
