August 17: Sri Lanka registered a historic clean sweep against Australia
On This Day in 2016, Sri Lanka registered a historic clean sweep against Australia. Sri Lanka registered a 106-run win over Australia in the 1st Test. Also, Sri Lanka won by 229 runs and 163 runs in the 2nd and 3rd matches, respectively. This was the second time that Sri Lanka managed to Whitewash a major Test side in their history.
