Afghanistan clinched the series

Afghanistan registered a 7-wicket win over Pakistan in the 2nd T20I of the series on Sunday at Sharjah. Pakistan captain Shadab Khan won the coin toss and elected to bat first.

After winning the toss, Pakistan made 130 runs for the loss of six wickets in their 20 overs. Imad Wasim was the top scorer with an unbeaten 64. Skipper Shadab Khan contributed with 32 runs. Once again, Pakistan’s top order collapsed, and they couldn’t build a good partnership in the middle. For Afghanistan, Fazalhaq Farooqi claimed two wickets.

In reply, Afghanistan chased down the target successfully and scored 133 runs for the loss of three wickets in 19.5 overs. Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 44 runs. Ibrahim Zadran contributed with 38 runs. Najibullah Zadran scored an unbeaten 23 runs, and Mohammad Nabi scored an unbeaten 14 runs.

With that win, Afghanistan clinched the series 2-0 with a match to spare.
