Afghan players received a warm welcome from their fans
The Afghanistan cricket team returned home after the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Group stage matches. Even though Afghanistan was unable to qualify for the semi-finals, they had a successful tournament, registering 6th place in the point table with 4 wins. They have beat England, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
Since they made their first appearance in the World Cup in 2015, this is the first time that Afghanistan has won four matches in one World Cup edition. With that performance, Afghanistan fans got excited, and Afghan players received a warm welcome from their fans when they returned home.
